Koh Tao

Koh Tao is the smaller of three islands located in the Gulf of Thailand. It’s name translates to Turtle Island due to an abundance of marine life, it is one of the top destinations for scuba diving and snorkelling. It is a calm and charming island with a variety of white sand and rocky beaches to relax in.

How To Get To Koh Tao

VIA KOH SAMUI

The most efficient way to get to Koh Tao is via Koh Samui

There are both international and domestic airlines serving from Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to Koh Samui

A transfer to Koh Tao can be arranged at Koh Samui airport information desk. Koh Tao does not have an airport and can only be reached by boat.

We recommend taking the Lomprayah Catamaran or Speedboat. These leave from a number of ports on Koh Samui. A road transfer to the appropriate ferry port is required - be sure to check the departure time and the name of the port.

The boat journey duration is between 1hr30mins - 2hrs to Koh Tao Mae Haad Pier

How To Get To Koh Tao

VIA CHUMPHON

An alternative recommended option is via Chumphon

There is a morning service with Air Asia that departs from Bangkok Don Mueang Airport.

A train or bus journey is also available with durations approximately 6hrs -7hrs

Once in Chumphon, take a taxi transfer to Tung Makham Pier where the highspeed

Lomprayah Catamaran departs from.

The boat journey duration is approximately 1hr 45mins to Koh Tao Mae Haad Pier

There are many alternative ways to get to Koh Tao - options to travel overland and by overnight ferry are available although can be uncomfortable and an extensive journey for some. The above options are recommended for your comfort and convenience.

How to get to Secret Garden

A transfer service from Mae Haad Pier to the resort is included with your stay. Please inform us in advance of the ferry service you are taking and your arrival time so we can ensure a representative meets you on arrival to the island and transfers you directly to Secret Garden.
